1. Situational analysis of the current empowerment programmes.

2. Vocational skills acquisition programme and entrepreneurial training.

  • 250 youths were trained on business, solar panel installation and sales by Afterschool Graduate Development Centre in conjunction with the Agency for Youth Development between July 4 and 12, 2019.
  • 220 youth artisans were trained in capacity building on August 4 and September 12, 2019.

3. Establishment of graduate youth employment scheme.

OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS

  1. Renovation of Ososami Youth Centre, Oke-Ado, Ibadan.

  2. Youth Empowerment

  • Collaboration between the World Bank and the Oyo State Government. Public workfare of Youth Employment Social Support Operation (YESSO) was carried out from July 2019 till date in the following Local Government Areas: Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South, Oriire, Surulere, Olorunsogo ,Ogo-Oluwa, Oorelope, Irepo, Olorunsogo, Lagelu, Egbeda, Ona-Ara, Ibadan North, Ibadan North East and Ibadan South East.
  • Collaboration between the World Bank and the Oyo State Government. State-Led Out-Put Based Skills for Job of Youth Employment Social Support Operation (YESSO) was carried out from October 2019 till date in the following Local Government Areas: Iseyin, Saki West, Itesiwaju, Oyo West, Atiba, Oyo East and Ogbomoso North.

3. Orientation talk on Work Ethics was organised for 1,500 National Youth Corps Members deployed to the state’s Ministries, Departments and Agencies.

4. Sensitization of Corps members on “Life After Service” for 2,680 Corps members who served in Oyo State.

5. The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Oyo State Chapter, in collaboration with the Agency for Youth Development organized the second edition of Oyo state Youth Summit on 9, June, 2019.

6. Sports

  • Successful organization of State Talent Identification and Coach Education Clinic 2020 in conjunction with West Bromwich, Albion FC, England.
  • Sustenance of weekly keep fit exercise among Civil Servants/Political functionaries.

7. Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC)

  • 3SC is currently topping the group B1 of the NNL League.
  • 3SC won the Ibadan Football Association League held from July to September, 2019 at Ibadan, Oyo State.

8. Participated and won Governor Dapo Abiodun Pre-Season Tournament.

9. Regular and full payment of salaries and match bonuses of players and officials.

10. Crown Football Club

  • Crown FC is currently in 2nd place in the group B2 of the NNL League.
  • Payment of arrears of salaries and match bonuses owed by previous administrations.
  • Regular and full payment of salaries and match bonuses of players and officials.

11. Oyo State Sports Council

  • Approval for payment of the financial reward for the Oyo State Contingents to 19th National Sports Festival held at the Federal Capital, Abuja in 2018.
  • Payment of arrears of Oyo State basketball players from 2016 till date.
