We will Deploy Modern Ways of Dispute Resolution – Oyo Attorney General

Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Oyo State, Prof. Oyelowo Oyewo, has disclosed that Governor Seyi Makinde led administration will deploy modern ways of disputes resolution into the judiciary system of the State to enhance improved justice administration in the State.

Prof. Oyewo, disclosed this while hosting the Management Team of a Radio Station based in Ibadan  who were on a courtesy call to his office in Ibadan .

The Attorney General noted that it is imperative for the judiciary to focus on new approach for justice administration such as mediation, saying that its adoption will hasten justice dispensation and promote peaceful management of conflicts.

Prof. Oyewo said the existing mediation centres in the state will be well utilised, adding that legal frame work that would add valve to life of every citizen will be given upmost priority.

“This administration is not going to be selective in justice administration but ensure citizens have equal opportunity to fair justice. This will not only make the environment conducive for all but encourage developmental progress because once there is peace, there will be progress”

“Governor Seyi Makinde’s road map is based on Accessibility, Transparency and Accountability. At the Ministry of Justice, we will make sure that there is no misappropriation of Government resources , all social contracts will be guided by law to ensure the resources are prudently managed for the development of the State ”

The Attorney General however advocated mutual working relationship with the organisation and other media houses with a view to bringing governance closer to the people.

In her remarks, the General Manager of the Radio Station, Olufunmilayo Olasogba,

seeks prompt response on part of resource person who could respond to legal issues in the state at that might need clarification from Government end appropriate time to prevent unforeseen circumstances.

“We are here to congratulate you and solicit for your support by making information accessible to us for proper reportage.  Before your government came in, having access to information is been tight.  We don’t want to have an ear say  but get reactions from resource person at appropriate time  for us not to leave  in doubt ” She said.
